ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE

Artificial Intelligence is the ability of a system to a system's capacity to understand and use information from the external environment, learn from it, and apply that knowledge to achieve specific objectives through adaptable means.

There two types of AI Narrow AI and General AI. AI Narrow AI refers to intelligent systems that can carry out specific tasks without being explicitly programmed to do so, such as speech recognition on smartphones or recommendation engines

While General AI While General AI is often depicted in movies, it does not currently exist, and there is much debate among AI experts about how soon it may become a reality.

The turning test 1950 was a challenge

1951 was the first chess computer

Marvin Minsky buit the first Neutral Net

History of AI
Semantic nets, which are used to describe the relationships between concepts, and the creation of Eliza, the first chatterbot, which was designed to simulate human conversation.

Perceptrons in 1958, which temporarily slowed research in neural networks due to its limitations in solving the XOR function.

Emergence of case-based reasoning, which allows machines to solve problems based on similar cases encountered in the past.

The introduction of the personal computer had on the field of artificial intelligence. The humble PC changed everything and revolutionized the way that people interacted with machines, leading to a shift away from the use of specialist machines and towards more general-purpose computing.

This change also enabled the development of new applications and technologies in AI and machine learning.

In 1997, Gary Kasparov, a world-renowned chess grandmaster, was defeated by a computer built by IBM called Deep Blue.

Examples of AI include speech recognition systems such as Siri and Alexa, self-driving cars, image and video recognition systems, recommendation engines, and fraud detection systems. These applications of AI are now ubiquitous in modern life and continue to advance rapidly.

Statistics plays a crucial role in many decision-making systems as it provides a basis for making informed decisions. Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) and Bayesian Statistics are two commonly used approaches in decision-making systems. HMMs are a statistical model used to describe a system that is assumed to be a Markov process with hidden states.

Deep learning is what drives many artificial intelligence (AI) technologies that can improve automation and analytical tasks.

Data ingestion is that the transportation of knowledge from assorted sources to a data-storage medium where it are often accessed, used, and analyzed by a corporation.

Chatbots are software to provide a window for solving customer problems’ through either audio or textual input

Examples of AI in our environment

Social Media Platforms- facebook,instagram,youtube,Tiktok

Search engines for example  google,yahoo,bing

Digital Assistants-Siri ,Alexa,Cortona,bibixy.
